Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra has been awarded as "Live-Act of the Year" by the German Jazz Prize in 2025 and it will also pay tribute to Brazilian music legend Hermeto Pascoal, with whom the orchestra collaborated intensively ten years ago and who entered other realms this September.

It mainly plays compositions by founder Daniel Glatzel, which always overcome and expand musical boundaries. Its music has been constantly reinventing itself since the orchestra was founded (2006) - hardly any band has examined, experienced and brought together so many styles, attitudes and musical colors in an original way.
AMEO currently draws from a colorful spectrum of jazz, classical, indigenous music from Malawi and Brazil, avant-garde, punk, ambient and electronica. Part of its current program was created specifically for an audiovisual show at Berghain. It has also performed in the large philharmonic halls of the Berlin, Cologne and Elbphilharmonie, at Roskilde Festival, Paradiso Amsterdam, Cairo Jazzfest and many more. In 2021, AMEO was the first large ensemble to be honored with the German Jazz Prize. In 2025 it was awarded again as "Live-Act of the Year".
