The Murk Prince

The Murk Prince does not want to please you; they want to seduce you. Marrying the energy of Freddie Mercury and vocal aptitude of Jeff Buckley, The Murk Prince is ready to make you travel across the binary. They have performed internationally and were awarded “Best Original Song” for their debut single ”Justice Eyes”.

The Murk Prince is the pop-rock project of Inès Murer. Originally from Belgium, The Murk Prince writes in both English and French and explores social political topics such as LGBTQ+ rights, anti-racism, climate change and trans identity. Their debut single 'Justice Eyes' was written in response to the Black Lives Matter protests of Spring 2020 and was awarded a prize by Lewisham Council of Culture.

After studying a Bachelor’s in Music Composition at Trinity Laban Conservatoire (UK), Inès Murer moved to Berlin and recorded their debut EP. Working closely with producer Shai Lavi and Tomer Levy, they focused on getting the essence of the song through a “one day per song” recording process. Their debut EP ‘Le Tomboy’ is set to be released early 2026.
