Become A Stand Up Comedian
Are you interested in performing stand up comedy? Or perhaps you’re new to it and would like to gain a better understanding of the basics? You perform in a different artform and would like to make it all a bit funnier?
The best way to learn how to perform comedy is to simply take the dive and perform as much as possible.
The second best way is to take this beginner-friendly workshop, designed to introduce people to writing and performing comedy. This workshop will guide you through essentials and help you find good starting points to write. During this afternoon-long workshop, you will be encouraged and supported through a variety of exercises both practical and artistic.
The workshop takes place at The Beast Comedy Club Basel from 11:00-17:00 (potentially slightly longer, if necessary) with a lunch break. It will be conducted by comedian, clown, writer, and workshop teacher Teddy Hall, who has been performing for close to a decade and teaching for a few years, drawing from both his own experience in comedy and a wide variety of workshops and received education in the performing arts.
