From 2–4 October, Basel becomes a playground for experimental music, sound art, and interdisciplinary performance as FOG Festival returns with a new format that blurs the lines between concert, exhibition, and club.
Across three days, FOG offers immersive concerts, installations, and genre-defying live acts that challenge how we experience sound and artistic expression.Whether subtle and meditative or loud and disruptive, each performance is designed to provoke, engage, and expand the definition of electronic music today.
The 2025 edition features renowned international artists alongside emerging voices from across Switzerland, with a special focus on bridging linguistic regions within the country. The festival also includes a large-scale Sound Art exhibition, interactive pieces, and spaces for reflection and encounter.
And when the lights dim, the energy shifts: FOG’s club nights take over, blending bold electronic sets, audiovisual experiments, and high-voltage performances into nights of raw and unpredictable intensity.
Expect everything from ambient drones, modular synths, algorithmic composition, and site-specific sound sculptures, to moments of collective silence, intense rhythms, and unexpected beauty.
