THE BEAR returns to Hamburg with Show#4 THAW / Auftauen — an evening of live storytelling about moments when something inside us began to soften.

This isn’t about winter.

It’s about the moment a rigid “no” turns into a hesitant “maybe.”
When pride gives way to vulnerability.
When distance becomes closeness.
When an old belief cracks open.
When something frozen inside begins to move again.

These are real stories. Told live. Without notes.
Unfiltered. Unscripted. Deeply human.

In a city where many of us come from somewhere else, storytelling creates something rare — a shared room where strangers feel less like strangers.

After 90+ shows and over 1,000 stories across Germany, THE BEAR continues to bring together locals, expats, and internationals for two unforgettable hours.

This edition is hosted in English by Deepanker Dua.The stories themselves will be a mix of English and German (approximately 50/50).

You don’t need to understand every word to feel a story — emotion travels beyond language.Whether you're new to Hamburg or have lived here your whole life — every voice and every language is welcome.
