Join AJ (they/them) for a cosy queer tarot workshop to connect to your deck more deeply ✨
There is so much more to tarot than learning about its historical meanings!
Tarot is about connection – and a big part of that is down to the intuitive relationship you develop with your cards: how they help you thread stories, have conversations, and find wisdom in the illustrations.
How you feel about your deck, and your relationship with it, plays a huge part in the depth of the messages you receive. It also makes a difference whether the images in your deck reflect who you are, the diversity of our communities, and the kind of energy you want to work with. Maybe you’re drawn to a deck that feels soft and supportive, like a gentle friend—or maybe you prefer one that’s direct and cuts to the point. Maybe you need both, depending on the day!
Getting curious about your deck—how it feels, how it speaks to you—is part of figuring all this out. That’s exactly what this workshop is for: exploring your deck and building a connection that feels honest and supportive.
It doesn’t matter whether your deck is old or new—if you don’t feel fully connected to it yet, if you’re struggling to understand its language, or if you’re returning to it after some time apart, this workshop will help you

It doesn’t matter whether your deck is old or new—if you don’t feel fully connected to it yet, if you’re struggling to understand its language, or if you’re returning to it after some time apart, this workshop will help you build (or rebuild) that connection.
It’s also a lovely space if you’ve just picked up a new deck and want to get to know it slowly and meaningfully.. And if you already have a favourite set you adore, this can be a chance to deepen that relationship even further—I genuinely haven’t drifted from my core deck because of the practices we’ll explore here!
During this warm, magickal workshop you will:
🔮 Get to know your deck like a friend: its personality, energy, and wisdom
🔮 Practice connecting with your deck intuitively to discover how it can support you (or whether it’s time to try a different one!)
🔮 Reflect, get inspired, and connect with other tarot lovers
🔮 Read tarot intuitively in community: with optional small group activities to practice reading together
🔮
You’ll leave with insights, tools, and rituals to help deepen your relationship with your deck, and better understand how it can support you and the collective.
Who this is for
💖This session is open to queer folks of all experience levels! Whether you are a seasoned reader, or a newbie with a freshly-opened tarot deck, we'll spend time getting to know the cards intuitively - to build a personal connection with them. We will read cards intuitively, so you don't need to have any prior knowledge: just bring a deck, your curiosity, an open mind 💖
What to bring
✨ A tarot deck (your favourite, the one you can't quite connect to or the new entry!)
✨ Pen and paper.
✨Anything that helps you feel comfy and grounded (think your favourite tea, snack, stim toy, crystal, etc).
How to get there:
The workshop will take place at Albisriederplatz, 8005 Zürich (exact location and instructions to access will be shared once you sign up).
Accessibility
- This event will be facilitated in English. You are welcome to chat in other languages in small groups and to support each other with translating. Ask away for any rephrasing or slowing down when I’m sharing guidance.
- Arrive and get comfy from 14:00 for a 14:15 start.
- The event will last about 2 hours, and you are encouraged to take as many breaks as you need along the way. You can also leave whenever you need to, no explanation needed 😊
- We'll start with an optional introduction round sharing our names, pronouns, and relationship to tarot.
- There will be a maximum of 15 people (including me) at the event. We will have a mix of solo reflection, and interaction in small groups if you would like to (you can opt out of this).
- A plan of the session can be shared in advance if you’d find that helpful.
- The room is a spacious, bright private Atelier space on the 5th floor. It is wheelchair accessible by elevator, however the bathrooms are unfortunately not. There is a public wheelchair bathroom in the park just outside the building (about two minutes, I will send more information after sign-up).
- For pictures of the venue or if there is anything else I can do to support you to participate more comfortably, please get in touch with me here🧡
