LAZ BRUJAZ ist ein interdisziplinäres Kollektiv, das Musik, Tanz und freie Improvisation miteinander verbindet. Gegründet von Vanessa Budai und Mariella Castelo, interpretiert das Projekt mit Eigenkompositionen und Choreografien die Figur der Hexe als Symbol für Empowerment, Widerstand und kollektive Transformation neu.
Durch die Verbindung von zeitgenössischem Jazz mit spanischen und lateinamerikanischen Einflüssen sowie tänzerischer Choreografie entwickelt LAZ BRUJAZ immersive Performances. In der Zusammenarbeit mit Künstlerinnen verschiedener Disziplinen erforscht das Kollektiv kulturelle Verbundenheit und kollektiven Ausdruck. Mit expressiven Performances erschafft LAZ BRUJAZ futuristische, feminine Realitäten.
Aktuell arbeitet LAZ BRUJAZ mit der andalusischen Perkussionistin Noelia Sánchez zusammen. Für die Performance im Luftschloss lädt das Kollektiv die Flamenco-Tänzerin Piera Celeste als Special Guest ein.

By combining contemporary jazz with Spanish and Latin American influences as well as dance choreography, LAZ BRUJAZ creates immersive performances. Through collaborations with female artists from various disciplines, the collective explores cultural connectedness and collective expression. With its expressive performances, LAZ BRUJAZ creates futuristic, feminine realities.
LAZ BRUJAZ currently collaborates with Andalusian percussionist Noelia Sánchez. For the performance at Luftschloss, the collective welcomes flamenco dancer Piera Celeste as a special guest.
LAZ BRUJAZ es un colectivo interdisciplinario que reúne música, danza e improvisación libre. Fundado por Vanessa Budai y Mariella Castelo, el proyecto reinterpreta la figura de la bruja a través de composiciones originales y coreografías como un símbolo de empoderamiento, resistencia y transformación colectiva.
Al combinar jazz contemporáneo con influencias españolas y latinoamericanas, así como coreografía, LAZ BRUJAZ crea performances inmersivas. En colaboración con artistas mujeres de distintas disciplinas, el colectivo explora la conexión cultural y la expresión colectiva. Con sus performances expresivas, LAZ BRUJAZ crea realidades futuristas y femeninas.
Actualmente, LAZ BRUJAZ colabora con la percusionista andaluza Noelia Sánchez. Para la presentación en Luftschloss, el colectivo invita como artista invitada especial a la bailaora de flamenco Piera Celeste.
