BB Photography Workshops is hosting a small-group studio photography workshop day in Berlin for photographers who want to build stronger portfolio images in a prepared production environment.

The day includes two separate studio sessions:

Ballet Photography · 10:00–13:00
Beauty Photography · 14:30–17:30

Participants can join one workshop or book the full-day package.

This is not an open group shoot. The lighting setups, art direction, model guidance and shooting flow are prepared before participants arrive. Each photographer receives individual guidance during the session.

The workshops are led by Burak Bulut Yıldırım, a Berlin and Istanbul based photographer, Sony Europe Imaging Ambassador, award-winning image-maker, lighting specialist and photography mentor with more than two decades of professional experience.

Art direction is by Meryem Aydın.

For nearly fifteen years, BB Photography Workshops has created curated studio sessions for photographers, combining production planning, creative lighting, art direction and practical mentoring.

WORKSHOP 1 — BALLET PHOTOGRAPHY

Time:
10:00–13:00

This session focuses on ballet, movement, timing, body line, light direction and building a coherent dance photography series.

We will work with an experienced ballet model in a controlled studio setup. The aim is to help photographers understand how to read movement, frame the body line, direct the timing of the shot and use studio light without flattening the form.

WORKSHOP 2 — BEAUTY PHOTOGRAPHY

Time:
14:30–17:30

This session focuses on beauty lighting, skin texture, makeup, catchlights, face direction, close-up portraiture, color control and editorial-style image-making.

We will work with an experienced beauty model and a professional makeup artist. The session is designed for photographers who want to improve close-up portrait work, beauty lighting and controlled studio direction.

For Ballet Photography, longer focal lengths can help compress body line and movement.
For Beauty Photography, 50mm, 85mm, macro or short telephoto lenses are useful.

ABOUT BURAK BULUT YILDIRIM

Burak Bulut Yıldırım is a Berlin and Istanbul based photographer working across commercial photography, portraiture, fine art, studio lighting and photography education.

He has been working professionally since 2005 and has taught thousands of photographers through workshops, private mentoring, seminars and studio-based training. His practice combines lighting control, visual direction, production discipline and direct work with the human figure.

He is a Sony Europe Imaging Ambassador, award-winning photographer and photography mentor known for his studio lighting work, portraiture, body-based image-making and long-term photography education.

ABOUT THE FORMAT

BB Photography Workshops are designed as curated portfolio shoots.

The concept, lighting, model direction and visual structure are prepared in advance. Participants enter an already built studio situation and receive practical guidance while shooting.

The format is intended to avoid crowded, random shooting situations. Each session is limited to a small group so that photographers have time to work, adjust, ask questions and receive individual feedback during the shoot.

Full-day package:
Ballet + Beauty together for €390 instead of €490

A €125 pre-payment is required to reserve a place.
The remaining balance can be paid on the workshop day.
