The Beast, Basel’s first ever dedicated comedy club, is proud to showcase how much fantastic comedy talent there is in Switzerland. About the comedians:
Headline Act
Jack Roberts has been performing since 2016 in the natural home of fun and laughter, Switzerland. He brings together musings, observations and justified complaints on life as an expat, a father, a teacher, a friend, an increasingly older gentleman and yes…a lover. As the organiser of Zurich's first ever English open mic, Jack is an integral part of the English comedy scene. Whilst his manner is humble, down-to-earth and frequently exasperated, he is also capable of unleashing a torrent of filth (where appropriate).

Unlike Tom Cruise, he does his own emotions as well: panic, confusion, joy, self-hatred, nostalgia, optimism and ennui (he doesn't really know what the last one is, but it sounds cool). He wants to share light-hearted observations about parenting and mid-life - but 9 times out of 10, these degenerate into confused ramblings about crustaceans, hobbits, and the fabric of space-time
Robby Toole is a comedian.

- The venue is a members club (Verein), which is how we have access to a lovely space for comedy. You need to be a member to attend, but it is free and easy to join and your data is protected.
