Sonic somatics is a moving, embodied deep listening practice—where listening incorporates awareness of the entire somatosensory system. Through the kinesthetic sense, the practice explores the relationship between sonic and spatial perception and how sonic flow composes movements.
By deepening into the sensation and affect of sound, a presence emerges in which the reciprocity between sound and body unfolds as a vibrational, resonant space—bridging physical and psychic landscapes. This listening with the body evokes a dream state, where sensory experiences expand into fluid, continuously evolving sonic environments.
In this session we dive into Jojo & tanjas current creation “in the shadows beneath branches and scars” , evolving i the acoustic space of an alpine forest landscape through a spatialised composition and live set by Jojo
The workshop starts with a warm up and tuning of the body, mind and senses. We then explore various modes of listening with and through the body in movement and stillness. The session concludes with a sonic journey where all the elements of the practice merge into each participants individual sonic dreambody journey.
