Laura Mello: "Intangible Sound of Contact" "Intangible Sound of Contact" verwendet Sound als Werkzeug, um den Moment des ersten Kontakts zwischen verschiedenen Kulturen zu untersuchen. Die Künstlerin versteht das Wort Kultur in einem breiteren, vom Mikro- bis zum Makrosoziologischen erweiterten Sinn und stellt Fragen wie: Was ist der Sound des Kulturkontakts? Wie kann man Kosmovisionen mit Sound transportieren? Wie beeinflusst uns dieses Wissen heute? Gibt es eine postkoloniale Art des Hörens? Wie klingt es?
Das Projekt reflektiert die Geschichte des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts, die Zeit des sogenannten Neokolonialismus, der florierenden Industrie und des Run auf Energiequellen. Ausgehend von der Gründung der deutschen Kolonie Blumenau in Brasilien im Jahr 1850 (Laura Mellos Geburtsstadt) zieht die Künstlerin eine Linie, die bis in die Gegenwart führt, und wirft Fragen nach den Folgen von Rassenvorherrschaft und Dichotomien wie Wildheit vs. Zivilisation auf.

Alex Stolze feat. Ben Osborn: "Raash ve Ruach, רעש ורוח"                                                        

Das Konzert gibt einen Vorgeschmack auf das am 25.10. via Neue Meister erscheinende Album "Raash ve Ruach", רעש ו רוח, “noise and wind’, ein Instrumentalalbum, das die Violine in den Mittelpunkt elektronischer Musik stellt und dabei Bezug nimmt zum Versagen der Sprache in unserer heutigen Zeit. Gemeinsam mit Ben Osborn wird Alex Stolze bekanntes und unveröffentlichtes Material spielen. https://linktr.ee/alexstolze

ANIMA MUNDI ist ein europäisches Austauschprojekt und Netzwerk von Projekträumen für Klangkunst und zeitgenössische Musik, Plattenlabels und Akteuren der experimentellen Musikszenen aus Deutschland, Polen und Irland, das innovative Werke der zeitgenössischen Musik und Klangkunst zum Erleben von Umweltbeziehungen, Klimawandel und ökologischen Fragen produziert. In dieser Ausgabe stehen 11 Audio-Walks des irischen Projekts SLEEPERTOWN von OpenGorey im Mittelpunkt. Die Arbeiten sind während des Projektzeitraums jederzeit per Smartphone, Echoes-App und Kopfhörer zugänglich und können kostenlos erlebt werden. An ausgewählten Tagen gibt es Führungen vor Ort, teilweise in Anwesenheit der Künstler*innen. Begleitet wird das Audio-Walk-Programm von 7 Konzert- und Klangperformance-Veranstaltungen in Berlin, Eberswalde, Cottbus, Luckau, Gorzów und Szczecin, für die ebenfalls Tickets erhältlich sind.

Laura Mello: "Intangible Sound of Contact"
"Intangible Sound of Contact" is a project using sound as the tool to investigate the moment of the first contact between different cultures. Understanding the word culture in a broader, from micro to macro-sociological extended sense, the artist poses questions as: What is the sound of culture contact? How to transport ancient cosmoauditions with sound? How can this knowledge influence us today? Is there a post-colonial way of listening? How does ist sound? The project reflects on the history of the early 20th century, the time of the so-called neo-colonialism, of flourishing industry and the run for energy sources. Starting from the foundation of the German colony Blumenau in Brazil in 1850 (Laura Mello's hometown), the artist draws a line leading up to the present day and raises questions about the consequences of racial supremacism and dichotomies such as wildness vs. civilization.

Alex Stolze feat. Ben Osborn: "Raash ve Ruach, רעש ורוח"                                                     

The concert gives a foretaste of the album "Raash ve Ruach", רעש ו רוח, "noise and wind", an instrumental album that places the violin at the centre of electronic music and makes reference to the failure of language in our time, which will be released on 25 October via Neue Meister. ANIMA MUNDI is a European exchange project and network of project spaces for sound art and contemporary music, record labels and players in the experimental music scenes from Germany, Poland and Ireland, which produces innovative works of contemporary music and sound art to experience environmental relationships, climate change and ecological issues. This edition focuses on 11 audio walks from the Irish project SLEEPERTOWN by OpenGorey. The works are accessible at any time during the project period via smartphone, Echoes app and headphones and can be experienced free of charge. On selected days, there will be guided tours on site, sometimes in the presence of the artists. The audio walk-programme will be accompanied by 7 concert and sound performance-events in Berlin, Eberswalde, Cottbus, Luckau, Gorzów and Szczecin, for which tickets are also available.
