What does the working class endure? Is it measured by sweat, exhaustion, and silence? Through the eyes of multiple characters in different scenarios, this play questions the value we place on labour, the conditions the working class has to adapt to, and the unspoken pressure to push through no matter the cost. How can we stay true to ourselves when ambition collides with sacrifice and the line between success and self-destruction blurs? What happens when effort goes unnoticed, when vulnerability is seen as weakness, and when work becomes survival?
“We’re the cogs in their machine, expendable and forgotten.”
