How do I implement a Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) ID for my event marketing?

In the Eventfrog Pro model, you have the option to implement a Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) ID. This is useful for tracking what visitors do on your website and understanding their behavior. It helps you measure conversions such as purchases and create targeted ad campaigns. This way, you can make your event advertising more effective and improve your marketing strategies. Tracked actions include views of your event details, cart additions, and purchase completions.

How do I implement a Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) ID on Eventfrog?

Click on «Events» in the sidebar of the cockpit and open your desired event. Under the «Tracking-Pixel» section, you will find the option to enter your Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) ID and implement it directly into your event. For this, you need your Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) ID, which usually consists of 15 to 16 digits and looks something like this: 123456789012345. You can find this ID in the Meta Business Manager.

Note: Users must explicitly consent to the use of marketing pixels. If they do not consent to this use or have an ad blocker installed, no data about their activities can be collected. As a result, it is possible that not every purchase or interaction can be tracked by the marketing pixel.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) ID

1. Log in to Meta Business Manager:

2. Navigate to Events Manager:

  • From the Business Manager dashboard, click on the menu in the top-left corner and select «Events Manager».

3. Create a Pixel:

  • In the Events Manager, click on «Connect Data Sources» and select «Web».
  • Click on the green «Add» button and then select «Meta Pixel».
  • Give your pixel a name and optionally add your website URL. Click «Continue».

4. Select Pixel Setup: 

  • Choose «Install code manually» to insert the pixel code yourself. 

5. Pixel ID und Code finden:

  • The pixel code will now be displayed. The Pixel ID is within the code and looks something like this: 123456789012345.
