Before there was matter, there were knots: two species of cosmic string, wound around one another, locking into stable topological structures from which all existence unraveled.

The exhibition Cosmic Knots — featuring large-scale immersive installations by Kurt Hentschläger, Mariko Mori, and Gábor Kitzinger, András László Nagy and Rozi Mákó — opens at Franck Areal (the Silos), Horburgstrasse 103, Basel.
Free to the public, daily 4–10 pm, June 16–20.
