Zine Workshop: We zine you

Zine Workshop: We zine you Wartsaal Wipkingen, Dammstrasse 54, 8037 Zürich Tickets

Wartsaal Wipkingen, Zürich (CH)

This Workshop will be held in German and English

In a world of endless scrolling and polished feeds, zines remain stubbornly tactile; raw, personal, and political. Each fold, cut, and collage carries the intimacy of a conversation; one that challenges, comforts, and connects. Zines are not just pages; they are acts of care and defiance, stitched together by those who believe in the power of sharing stories on their own terms.

At this workshop hosted by F96 and facilitated by Shanice Heuzeveldt and Manushi Khatlawala, we’ll explore zine-making as a feminist practice exploring cycles, menstruation and lived realities - a way to archive, unlearn, and reimagine. Bring your thoughts, fragments, drawings, anger, tenderness, and contradictions. Together, we’ll make something small, messy, and meaningful - a zine that holds a piece of you, and a spark of us.

Materials will be provided, you are warmly invited though to bring some of our own with you.

Workshop Facilitators:

Shanice Heuzeveldt is an eco-social designer with a stark focus on feminist pedagogies, fashion, textiles, and health. With a background in sustainable fashion, design, and management, she researches how the materiality of fashion, its chemical compositions, and systemic opacity, affects both human and more-than-human health. Rooted in feminist studies, her work recognizes the injustices embedded in fashion stemming from the same extractive, patriarchal, and colonial systems that shape all industries. Being diagnosed with Endometriosis herself, she has lived through many versions of herself with each and every cycle and advocates for multi-modal treatment options, creativity as a practice of care being one of it.

Manushi Khatlawala is a communication designer who believes in colouring outside the lines; literally and figuratively. From drawing pink plants as a kid to crafting visual stories today, she's driven by an insat able curiosity for the world around her. Her work spans branding, illustration, and everything in between, always searching for that plot twist that makes people stop and feel something. Currently based in Luzern, Switzerland, she's constantly on the run with visuals, observing patterns in people, places, and pop culture, and probably enjoying a cup of coffee while doing it.
