Vigljos return to their hometown to celebrate the release of their brand-new album “Tome IV: Ignis Sacer” (out September 19th via Les Acteurs de l’Ombre Productions). Formed in 2022, Vigljos have quickly forged their own path through the underground, blending raw 90s-style black metal with eerie synth textures and lyrics that dive into the strange ties between nature, ritual, and society. Dark, furious, atmospheric – their new record pushes deeper into the abyss. This show will be a rite of fire and sound.
And they’re not alone. Two mighty forces from Norway are coming to Basel to make this night even heavier:
⚔️ Ruun (NO) – Founded in 2017, this death metal trio from Hønefoss/Oslo embodies intensity. Their debut Impermanence turned heads in the underground with its crushing riffs, bleak melodies, and existential weight. Ruun channel mortality, philosophy, and raw aggression into music that hits as hard live as it does on record.
⚔️ Sovereign (NO) – Straight from Oslo, Sovereign bring old-school fury with a modern edge. Mixing thrash and death metal, their debut Altered Realities (2024) is packed with savage riffs, relentless drumming, and a visceral energy that thrives on stage. With members active in Norway’s underground scene, they carry forward the raw tradition of metal with unfiltered intensity.
