Glass Jewelry Weekend x Petite A Studio

For the first time ever, Anaïs Llop Nexon, the international artist behind Petite A Studio, is coming to Zurich for a one-time-only glass jewelry weekend.

Anaïs’ work, known for its sculptural and poetic approach to borosilicate glass, has been showcased internationally — including at Première Classe Paris, where it was praised for its exploration of transparency, fragility, and the art of fire.

During this special weekend, you can join one, two, or all three independent sessions, each focused on a different technique and piece:

• Creating a glass ring
• Forming a pair of earrings
• Shaping a pendant

In each session, you will learn essential glass techniques, explore your creativity, and create your own unique piece to take home.

Ring Experience

10:30–13:00
Focus: Gold fuming

You will begin with a short demonstration where the artist presents the complete process of creating a glass ring, offering a clear visual reference to follow. You will then work through introductory exercises focused on hand coordination and on understanding how solid glass behaves under fire as your first contact with the material.

You will finish the session by creating and refining your own ring, applying the gold fuming technique as a surface finish to achieve subtle and luminous effects.

Earrings Experience

14:00–16:30
Focus: Color application

The session opens with a demonstration of the earring-making process. You will explore simple geometric and figurative forms while working with color and observing how glass reacts and transforms under heat.

You will complete the session by creating your own pair of earrings, applying solid glass techniques with a focus on color composition and balance.

Pendant Experience

17:30–20:00
Focus: Texture & Surface

You will start with a demonstration introducing the pendant creation process. You will then experiment with hand coordination and glass texturing on both solid and blown glass, observing the material’s behavior under fire.

The session concludes with the creation of your own pendant, using texture and surface as the primary expressive and finishing elements.

All materials are included, and each session is suitable for beginners as well as those with a creative background. You will leave with a finished glass jewelry piece and hands-on experience in the featured technique.
