Louis "Satchmo" Armstrongs Musik zählt zum wichtigsten Einfluss auf die Entstehung des europäischen Jazz, sein Trompetenstil ist an Markanz und Relevanz nicht zu überbieten: The Upstroke Five präsentieren Auszüge aus dessen Frühwerk, ein Hochgenuss zum Lauschen und Tanzen gleichermaßen.

Julian Hesse (Trompete), Edi May (Klarinette), Sam Hylton (Piano), Daniel Fischer (Gitarre), Max Hirning (Kontrabass)

Im Anschluss an das Konzert: geleitete Jam Session (Gypsy Swing/traditioneller Jazz)
