Die ‘Sörös Pfeil Group’ ist ein Jazz-Quartett um Pianist Martin Sörös und Saxophonist Lukas Pfeil. Die beiden Bandleader verbindet neben ihrer Vorliebe für kraftvoll swingenden post-bop Mainstream-Jazz auch ein Faible für Hip Hop und R’n’B. Mit ihrer neuen Band gelingt es ihnen, diese Einflüsse auf natürliche Weise zu verbinden. Das zeigt sich nicht nur an ihren Eigenkompositionen, sondern auch an ihren Bearbeitungen von Jazz-Standards. Im Oktober 2023 erschien das Debut-Album der Formation mit dem Titel ‘Joint Venture’.
