Ein außergewöhnliches Kammermusikprogramm zwischen höfischer Welt, alpiner Klangtradition und zeitgenössischer Musik: Sopran, Violoncello und Zither begegnen sich in Werken von Herzog Max in Bayern, Johann Petzmayer und Johannes X. Schachtner. Im Mittelpunkt steht Schachtners Zyklus Heines Erbin nach Gedichten von Kaiserin Elisabeth von Österreich – ein poetisches Klangbild zwischen Sehnsucht, Natur und innerer Unruhe.
