Top Rankin’ Sound represents Reggae and Dancehall culture. For our first event of the year, we’re setting the tone strong by welcoming a very special guest from Lisbon, Portugal: Shaka Lion.

Born in Brazil and raised in Barreiro, Shaka Lion grew up obsessed with the sounds of Jamaica. He began his career playing in Lisbon hotspots such as Copenhagen, Casa Independente, and Park. But it was through traveling the world that he truly found his musical homes — delivering sets for NTS Radio and Beats 1, collaborating with London’s iconic Rinse FM, and working as a producer and musician for the Los Angeles-based label Soulection.

For this event, we want to give something back to the community.
