Data availability, quality, and security are vital for improving people's quality of life, optimizing organisational efficiency, and strengthening Switzerland’s position as a hub for research and development. Reliable data also serves as the cornerstone for all AI solutions.
Currently, a lot is happening in this field, with many different actors driving various initiatives in Switzerland. However, these efforts are often scattered and unrelated.
The Swiss Data Space Forum 2025 is dedicated to the follwing objectives:
-
To provide an overview of the current situation of data spaces in Switzerland
-
To showcase Swiss best practices for the development of data spaces
-
To highlight private sector perspectives (e.g. logistics and pharma)
-
To support cooperation between the confederation, cantons, and cities in establishing necessary standards for data spaces
-
To foster a mutual understanding of which questions need to be addressed by the state or the private sector
-
To develop a roadmap for next steps including political support for relevant initiatives
We strive to achieve these objectives through presentations, panels and workshops, as well as a study accompanying the event.
