Rudi Schaluppke, der Bademeister vom Brennpunktbad Köln-Zollstock wird nach 20 Jahren Dienst auf einmal mit neuen Aufgaben konfrontiert. Sein altehrwürdiges Schwimmbad muss renoviert werden, der Badebetrieb wird für unbestimmte Zeit stillgelegt und Rudi muß sich einen neuen Arbeitsplatz suchen.

Fachkräfte werden gebraucht - und so landet er am Beckenrand eines Spassbades im Kölner Umland. Ein Wellness-Tempel mit Schnösel-Klientel, einem Pool, in dem sportliches Schwimmen untersagt ist und einem Chef, der ihm sagt, was er zu tun und zu lassen hat. Dort gibt’s kein Schulschwimmen, keine Seepferdchenkurse und keinen Schwimmbadkiosk. Da muß auch Keiner Schwimmen können. Es gibt Events und Entertainment-Programm, wo Schaluppke an Wochenenden als Chlor-Clown eingespannt wird.
