EUREGIO Movement Method Learning Symposium 2026

What is it about?
Movement, as an elementary driving force, is fundamental to our health and, beyond that, provides added value for our ability to learn in social, educational, and communicative contexts. This is something everyone experiences particularly strongly outdoors—in the landscape, in nature, surrounded by greenery. With this project, we would like to make this potential and these effective resources visible and usable for the important future fields of health and education.
Physical activation reduces stress, promotes emotional regulation, strengthens cognitive processing, and opens up new pathways for communication. For years, we have achieved outstanding results in practice in this way—individual steps can be initiated that have a lasting effect and are scientifically supported.
The Movement Method is a scientifically grounded approach that promotes learning, emotional development, and resilience through targeted movement—preferably in nature.
Why is this important?
In times of increasing sensory overload, lack of physical activity, and growing psychological strain, movement is becoming increasingly important as a resource for physical and mental health. Why is this important?
In times of increasing sensory overload, lack of physical activity, and growing psychological strain, movement is becoming increasingly important as a resource for physical and mental health. Movement in nature in particular promotes concentration, social competence, learning ability, and resilience. The Movement Method Symposium addresses precisely this and provides concrete concepts for healthcare, schools, therapy, youth services, and work with parents.
What are we planning?
The planned cross-border Movement Method Euregio Symposium aims to bring together experts from research, education, healthcare, therapy, and practice in an interdisciplinary dialogue across different subject areas and schools of thought.
Topics include:
-
Neurobiological foundations and research on movement, health, and learning
-
The Movement Method in schools, healthcare, therapy, and social work
-
Good practice from science and research within the Euregio (Germany & the Netherlands), including networking and workshops
What might be of interest to you?
-
Make research transfer visible: Your expertise reaches new target groups.
-
Strengthen the practical relevance of your topics: How can I use movement as a door-opener in these areas?
-
Interdisciplinary impulses: Education meets neuroscience, healthcare, sport, special education, environmental education, and much more.
-
Expand your network: Exchange with universities, schools, and practitioners from across the Euregio.
-
New perspectives for theses, projects, or collaborations.
We offer:
A forum to make your topics visible—with organisational support, space for presentations, workshop opportunities, or simply participation and exchange.
