PADRE GUILHERME, from Guimarães, Portugal, was born in 1974 and has been a priest since 1999. He is a parish priest in the Archdiocese of Braga and a military chaplain with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Diocese of the Armed and Security Forces.
Electronic music has been running in his blood since he was very young, and he has always been connected to music since his seminary days.
At the time of the pandemic, he took advantage of the live-streams with weekly DJ sets, to experiment new sounds and techniques, having started at that time a musical journey through the universe of techno. These livestreams even led him to be featured in Reuters, Forbes, and Clubbing TV, just to name a few.
Currently he presents techno with strong influences from traditional to sacred music, with several typical melodic-techno elements always present.
In the booth, he presents a journey in which he uniquely combines faith, peace and love, with the joy, daring and irreverence that are very characteristic of him.
Father Guilherme believes that electronic music is a privileged way to build a better world. On the dance-floor, inclusion, tolerance and respect are promoted. In electronic music, those who have faith and those who don't, dance together. People of different ethnicities and cultures dance together. Music brings humanity together, in its beautiful diversity.
