What do hanging miniatures, Live-Matte-Paintings, Rear- and Front-Projection have in common? What you see is what you get; the effects are created inside the camera, on the negative or on the sensor. Why is that important? It does not need any more post production work that saves both time and money. I will show how Front-Projection was done in its day with the system that was originally used for Wim Wenders “Himmel über Berlin” and about some of the secrets of In-Camera FX and how they can be part of modern filmmaking!
