This Wednesday, our usual Yin in the Park becomes something very special.
A New Moon Solar Eclipse will be unfolding in the sky while we practice, inviting us to explore the relationship between light and shadow - not only above us, but within us.
An eclipse temporarily obscures the light, but the light itself never disappears.
In the same way, we all carry parts of ourselves that we easily show and embrace — and others we may suppress, judge, hide or simply prefer not to look at.
This deeply grounding Yin Yoga journey is an invitation to slow down enough to meet those parts with curiosity rather than resistance.
Through long-held Yin postures, mindful breath, mudra, meditation and moments of profound stillness, we will explore:
• What within me is asking to be seen?
• What have I been avoiding or keeping in the shadows?
• Where am I ready to meet myself with greater honesty and compassion?
• What can emerge when I stop trying to fix myself and simply listen?
As the Moon moves across the Sun, we'll allow the changing evening sky to become part of our practice — moving inward, meeting the shadow, and remembering:
The light can be obscured without ever being extinguished.
