Eine sommerliche Autofahrt endet in einer tödlichen Eskalation. Was genau ist geschehen? – In ihrem neuen Roman lässt die englisch-ghanaisch-deutsche Autorin Sharon Dodua Otoo ein Gespräch zwischen einer schwarzen Frau und einem weissen Mann eskalieren. Es ist die Geschichte eines Mordes, nämlich von Amata Haller an ihrem Chef Heinz Brockhaus, der als Inbegriff des "alten weisseen Mannes" gelten kann; die Geschichte einer Frau, die sich gewaltsam aus alten Zuschreibungen löst und Freiheit als riskanten, aber notwendigen Akt der Selbstbehauptung erfahrbar macht.
