WORLD OF SALEM: Arthur Millers „Hexenjagd” trifft auf virtuelle Realität.

Die «Theatergruppe Gym Oberwil zeigt vom 1. bis 5. September 2026 das Stück «World of Salem». In dieser Adaption des Klassikers spielen die Ereignisse von Millers Stück in einer Open-World-Spielwelt, die ihren Nutzern ein neues Leben ohne Grenzen verspricht. Naiv stürzen sich die verliebten Abby und Jonas in World of Salem – doch statt der erhofften Freiheit finden sie sich als Abigail und John in den Hexenprozessen von Salem wieder, gefangen in einer Welt ohne Entkommen.

Die grausamen Spielregeln offenbaren die unerbittliche Logik der Technologie dahinter: ein gigantischer Algorithmus, dessen Berechnungen und Fehler das Schicksal der Spielenden kompromisslos bestimmt…
